"I do not treat clients as just another appointment or just another paying customer. I honor and recognize the unique being who has courageously surrendered to being vulnerable in my capable hands."
DENIESE R. WOOLFOLK, LMT
Owner & Practitioner
Greetings and Blessings to You.
For more than two decades, my work has been an exploration of the relationship between the body, mind, environment, energy, and the deeper wisdom of our lived experience.
Along the way, I have studied and practiced massage therapy, Ayurveda, spa therapies, Reiki, movement, sound, meditation, and creative expression. Each discipline has offered me another way of listening—to the body, to nature, and to the subtle ways our experiences reveal themselves through sensation, rhythm, emotion, and movement.
What began as a professional practice became a deeper personal journey: learning that the body is continually communicating with us, and that sometimes the most meaningful thing we can do is become quiet enough to listen.
A PRACTICE ROOTED IN LISTENING
Nature has always been one of my greatest teachers.
Our ancestors looked to the cycles of nature, the elements, rhythm, movement, and the changing seasons for insight into how to live in greater harmony with the world around them. I continue to find wisdom in those same principles.
Balance, to me, is not a fixed destination. It is an ongoing relationship—one that changes as we move through different seasons, experiences, environments, and stages of life.
My approach begins with listening.
Rather than approaching every person or experience in exactly the same way, I draw from my training and experience to create an individualized session that honors where you are in the moment.
MASSAGE & BODYWORK
Massage therapy has been a foundational part of my professional journey for more than two decades.
Through years of working with the body, I have developed a deep appreciation for the language of touch—the ways the body responds to pressure, rhythm, warmth, stillness, and intentional contact.
My work has expanded beyond massage alone to include Ayurvedic bodywork and spa therapies that incorporate elements of nature such as warm oils, herbs, aromas, water, and sensory experience.
I am certified in Spa Therapy Techniques through the Institute of Somatic Therapy, where I further developed my understanding of integrating bodywork with sensory and nature-based practices.
AYURVEDA
Ayurveda has been an important part of both my personal and professional journey for more than a decade.
I completed the Perfect Health Program through the Chopra Center's Ayurveda Lifestyle program and received my certification as an Ayurveda Practitioner through the Chopra Institute, studying with instructors Melissa and Leo Carver.
Ayurveda deepened my understanding of the individual nature of wellbeing. Rather than assuming that one approach is appropriate for everyone, Ayurveda invites us to consider constitution, lifestyle, environment, daily rhythms, nourishment, and our current state of balance.
I bring these principles into my Ayurvedic consultations and treatments, including Abhyanga, Shirodhara, Garshana, Udvartana, Ayurvedic facial treatments, and other traditional Ayurvedic practices.
For me, Ayurveda is not simply a collection of treatments. It is a way of learning to pay attention—to our nature, our environment, and the ways those relationships continually influence how we experience life.
REIKI & ENERGY WORK
My exploration of energy work has also been an important part of my journey.
As a Reiki Master/Teacher, I have spent many years developing a practice centered on presence, stillness, intention, and awareness.
Reiki taught me another dimension of listening. It invited me to become more attentive to what cannot always be expressed through words and to cultivate a grounded presence when sitting with another person.
I approach energy work as a complementary practice that can create space for quiet, reflection, and deeper awareness.
MOVEMENT, SOUND & CREATIVE EXPRESSION
Long before I understood movement and sound as therapeutic practices, I was fascinated by the ways rhythm and creative expression could open something within us.
Drums, sound, dance, movement, meditation, and art have been used across cultures and generations as pathways into deeper states of awareness and connection.
I am a Certified Visionary Art Teacher and have facilitated experiences incorporating intuitive art, movement, sound, and inquiry.
These practices continue to inform my understanding of the human experience. Movement can become a form of listening. Sound can create rhythm and resonance. Art can give form to something that has not yet found words.
Each offers another doorway into self-awareness.
THE WORK CONTINUES
My journey has taken me through many disciplines, but the thread connecting them has remained consistent:
Listen.
Notice.
Reconnect.
Return.
I continue to study, learn, and evolve because I believe our relationship with ourselves is never finished.
There is always another layer to discover, another rhythm to notice, another season to move through.
My role is not to tell you who you are or what your experience should be.
It is to create a space where you can slow down, become more present, and listen for what your own body, mind, and inner wisdom may be revealing.
I draw from a unique integration of bodywork, Ayurveda, energy, movement, and sensory practices to meet each person where they are. It is an honor to create space for the body, mind, and spirit to reconnect with their own innate wisdom.
The body is always speaking.
The invitation is to become quiet enough to listen.
